HELP:Voice channel question/problem
« on: June 14, 2002, 08:53:17 AM »
Have my voice channel tuned to xxx ( squad channel )

I can hear countymen in the immediate area, but they can't hear me. How do you "disable" squad channel so you can talk to your countrymen. Typing anything in the voice channel box just tells me that person is not online. If I want to turn off squad comms in the Main, how do I do it ???

Had lotsa people talkin to me last night, and couldn't reply.

Please talk reeeel slow, cuz my comprehension is below par......

Thanks in advance..

Now back to work :(

Your range mic button is by default  the F12 key and the tuneable channel mic (ie your chosen channel) is the T key.

Nopoop, we have 2 voice radios in AH.

#1 is the channel radio you use to talk to squad.
#2 is the "Range" channel that lets you talk to anyone on your side that you can see.

Thats how they were talking to you, they didn't hear you because you were likely transmitting via
"Channel".

Like Revin said most guys are useing F12 for range.

Default is T but personally I prefer something a bit less often hit by accident.

~ (tilde) key or F11, whatever is comfortable.

unless i somehow missed it, there is nothing in the manual that says that you need to 'map' the radio channel keys. took me a week to figure out i needed to add that step to make AH voice work.

the manual says the 'T' and 'F12' are default keys, but not really, you have to go and map them in.  it may be helpful for newbies to add a line in the manual that mentions that fact.

i think the full download/installation has them mapped to these defaults, just the update doesn't add them to the configuration.
