I was prompted by another thread to do this so don't think I was sitting up all night worrying about it but......
I tested the F4U-1 fuel consumption offline at Mil power and at max cruise. What I found is that the fuel burn rate does not change much with a change in MAP.
From the F4U-1 manual
Mil power sea level GPH(Gallons Per Hour)=290
Mil Power sea level Map = 52.5"
Max Cruise Sea Level GPH = 83
Max Cruise Sea Level MAP = 34"
This is a fuel consumption of 3.5 times less in max cruise than MIL power. However offline with a fuel multiplier of 10 a 25% fuel load.
Mil power = 2.10 minutes
Max Cruise= 3.0 minutes
40% differance and it should be 3.5 times more.
Is this not modeled in AH?
I know it is a big hairy nit to pick but I just thought I would ask;)
