What browser for this site?
« on: September 19, 2001, 03:23:00 PM »
Cause for the life of me I cannot find a browser on which the AH website doesn't look broken (see http://oliver.kfs.org/~oliver/ah.jpg).

I've tried: IE 6, IE 5.5, IE 5.0, Netscape, Mozilla and Galeon under Windows, Linux and FreeBSD, and under all of them the website looks broken. I'm a great believer in 'make the page work on the readers browser' rather than 'tell the reader how to configure their browser in order to view our website'.

Your text size setting is too large. It's your browser, not the site.

ksfone,

In my reasonably exstensive QA experience, no website handles large text without appearing to be broken.

In IE, hold down the Ctrl key and then use your mouse's wheel to adjust the text size or click on the "View" dropdown menu, click on the "Text Size" option and then select the "Smaller" text size.
