I think I have figured it out. You didn't, or couldn't understand the rules.

To say that American Football does not require "tactic" is about as dumb as saying European Football doesn't require athletisism. To someone who doesn't understant the rules and strategy of European football, that game also appears to be more about skinny guys running around kicking a ball, than about any tactics. But once you learn the rules, you can understand what's going on, and why teams act and react the way they do.

Anyhow, Europeans should encourage us Yanks to play American football. Because if we ever get really interested in European Football, you guys will never win another World Cup.

You see in Euroland we too have a game with egg shaped balls, very similar to american "football". We call it rugby, main difference is our men dont need 3 feet of polystyrene wrapped around em:) We do it bareback, like real men!

Face it American footie is a show, a good show, but still a show. You guys like it, fair play to you. Have some fun, eat the hotdogs, shout "ra ra ra - wheres my bra", leave the thread hijacking and slanging off the euros to when your down the bar.

You see you have no idea what football is about, you have never seen guys on sunday morning in the pouring rain getting their legs broke under tackles, why? Because as soon as someone tackles in american footie, the game stops, thats the bit I dont like about it.

Your country has done a huge thing getting this far so cut the whine and get behind em. The only reason you really object is that deep down your afraid that americans might just prefer soccer to your native game. Face it and cut the whines.

If sissy euros like me can muster up the energy to cheer on the US football team then it seems the least a US citizen can do?

This is a funny thread, I love to read Elfenwolfs posts. I laughed myself silly over this one. I may not always agree with him, but man, can he ever write a hilarious post!

Hint: Guys, some of the things Elfenwolf says arent meant to be taken seriously. I thought that this was self-evident but apparently I was wrong.

Oh and by the way, GO USA, WIN THE WORLD CUP!

Most of Elfenwolfs posts are also in threads directly related to US Society and the Left Right fighting in our country. I think this is the first time that EW has "reached across the pond." It's good to know that there are unfished waters out there lol.

As far as "doing it bareback like real men," well... judging by the way you Euros throw a ball I've always suspected that to be the case.

NFL Europe, or american football in Europe is a joke. Its like Baseball, we have that here too, but its only for the weirdows if you know what I mean. (Think cricket)

Actually I think there are more americans playing "catch the goat" (You know that arab game where a bunch of arabs on horseback try to steal a decapitated goat-carcass) than there are europeans playing Baseball or Football.

The one true American bred (although some canuck

came up with it) sport is still Basketball, and the entire world plays it. Nothing else requires such a combination of skill, speed & strength.

SI did a study a number of years back to determine which sport had the best all around athletes. Basketball won.
