I rented MOH: Frontline for my PS2 last week.  It is much more in the vein of Half Life or Return to Wolfenstein than say Operation Flashpoint.  As long as you keep that in mind it is a pretty enjoyable game.  My impressions of the first two levels were good, both the D-day landings and then a fight through a french town where you feel like you're part of a bigger operation were good fun. You get to fight alongside AI U.S. infantry etc. etc.  This is the high point of the game,  levels where you feel like you're part of somthing bigger with explosions and people running and firing around you.  Unfortunetly from what I could tell there's a good chunk of time in the middle of the game where it's just you, behind enemy lines which reminded me A LOT of Return to Castle Wolfenstein.  After doing this for several missions and many hours (oh, no in level save feature that I could find btw) where I was strating to get bored of just sabotauging this and retrieving that killing patrols left and right.  Things were starting to look up again later on when I was once again put in the middle of a big battle and had to help rescue some pinned soldiers when I ran out of time and had to take it back to Blockbuster.  :D

If you have a PC, get Medal of Honor: Allied Assault.

It came out in January, uses the Quake 3 engine (read: looks great), has tons of atmosphere, and isn't realistic :)  But it is damn fun, and much better than RTCW.

I actually modified the damage on the game to make both me and the bad guys a lot more fragile, and enjoyed it quite a bit.

This Game ROX!!!

I got it for fathers day the first mission is basically saving private ryan storm the beach hope you dont get killed in a hurry .

honestly it is a sweet game but its just that a game with health pick ups and the like

My only consolation on the whole deal was that I could set the difficulty to HIGH makes it extremely hard to stay alive on the beach
