« on: June 22, 2002, 10:27:12 PM »
Greetings all:
Ive downloaded the program for the two week free trial  . When starting the game for online play in the main area the auto- updater starts a download -Terrains/baltic.Reg
The problem is that it locks up at 260kb repeatedly.
it also locks up downloading terrain for the battle area but downloads a bit farther that the main area .Offline play works.
sys specs.

60gig western digital hd
geForce2 32mb vid
asound express pci soundcard
win 98se
56k modem
directX 8
logitech trakball mouse
logitechwingman extreme stick

all drivers are current ,any ideals what to do ?

grab the maps from the down load page as Steely suggested and also a down load excellerator helps too,,,, i recommend DAP from speedbit   you can get it at http://www.cnet.com  . it allows you to set up ur downloads in several streams  and it speeds up your download time on a 56k to around 3 times faster .. I ve used it for years ... and still use it with a dsl connect. along with the fact that its resumable at any time .
