My trouble seems to be centered (get it?) around the fact that my cougar won't callibrate the outer reaches of my x and y axis throws.

What I mean is that when I pull back on the stick, in DX diag panel (and aces high, which is getting the same data), my stick maxes out at 65535 when there is still almost a full inch of throw left in the backstroke.

This results in a very small area of the stick movement which is "useable", and makes for very imprecise calibration.

I'm sure that the stick scales shown in this forum will work great for me, if they are allowed the entire range of travel that the stick SHOULD give, but isn't.

Any ideas how to get the cougar to calibrate that extra part of the throw?  I've tried recalibrating umpteen different ways, both manually and automatically, and no go.

I used to be the guy everyone asked for help when their F22 went down, but it's been so long, and the cougar is suffeciently different that I'm just a boobie noobie when it comes to this thing.

Any help would get you pictures of my wife in cheerleading attire, and FunkedUp, feel frew to revel in my sadness, this is VERY frustrating.

Gman,

I am having calibration problems also, but I did get it to work.  I hope the next version of the TM drivers will make it work better.  Here is how I fixed the problem.

I cleared the stick by turning it on with the trigger in, then reflashed the firmware.  Right after this, move all your axises to there full extent.  This is when it saves the max values for calibration, so if you don't move them to their full range, you many not get the full range.

I am having problems with manual calibration not working, but the auto calibration seems to work ok.  I have not figured that one out yet:)

Good luck.

Thanks Gunner , that appears to have worked, and I, like you, am having big trouble with manual calibration.
