FPz Gepard?

(Leopard 1 chassis with a 2 x 35mm AA turret, latest block of vehicles are very very deadly to helicopters and low flying aircraft).

A long time ago I had a student in CA. who was from Germany and was studying in the USA. His compulsory service was as a motorcycle courier in a FPz unit. He said they used to test and calibrate their G2A radar fire control on commercial jets that were landing/taking off.

[thought it was the sgt york at first, but...]

It looks a lot like the Gepard, but with a different radar system.

Ok it's the dutch version of the gepard
only this one got Holland Signaal radar stuff in it

I have been in service on this thing as commander
it's got 2X35 mm oerlikon cannons

search and track radar
and optical targeting device

350 rnds proximity fuse and 40 rnds AP munition

At one exercise in den helder we shot at flags dragged by radio controlled air planes

Than a bus with naval officers arrived to have a demo
with one shot it shot the cord of the flag (flag gone)
that was a good demo.
