I had the same thing happen to me...andit was AK's squadmate...a great sport and good stick...he floated around for a good 2-3 minutes in the "twilight zone"...now it was obvious he was having problems (dogfighting ghosts etc).

Histro's seems very different, but I don't know if you can accurately label it. As I said in an other post i'm only aware of 1 documented instance of cheating (on AW). In that case the code was doctored so incoming hit packets were diminished...and outgoing packets at 10x. In addition was a warp on demand feature. this was an actual modification (a patch) to AW exe.

I can PROVE that this is not cheating!  The first day that I signed up for the pay version of aces high, I was flying a P38 or P51.  I attacked an enemy B26 flying near one of my bases.  Low 6 attack.  I shot off his wings and tail.  He kept flying like nothing was happening.  I turned on my gun cam and kept giving chase. I followed him some more and fire some more burst into him.  He started to fly towards one of my bases so I emptied my guns into him.  He went into a nose dive and crashed.  If he was a cheater, why did my last burst kill him?

AFAIK there is only a real cheat in AH, and it is implemented into the sim code: The
Hispano guns.

Ram you are of course entitled to your own opinion on all matters and i would fight for your right to express them as hard as i would my own, so if your views on the film have not changed then i will just agree to disagree on the subject.
I think though that as you gain more online time and experience of various sims you will come to understand that to say that was a cheat was in fact an error of judgement.

Also the sentence you took exception to started with "maybe" and you have certainly refuted it vigorously

But this was a bit pointless tho ..

Never EVER! dare to say something close to that to me again. and I mean NEVER!.

Now if i lived next door to you i might take that slightly more seriously, but as it is i figure the worst you can do is shoot at me in AH so no big deal plenty of others already do

Anyway no animosity towards you here Ram just disagreeing with your views on the film.

My next post might well be to defend you

Yes I wont accept even a "maybe" in that concern. I took your post as an offense, maybe it wasnt (sure it wasnt), but if there is something i dont like to hear at all is something like that.

If you lived next door to me you'd have just the same problem as here   that wasnt a menace, as all you'd get from me wouldnt be anything bad  ...well it would be me taking you as another Creamo, and I think that is bad enough

Seriously no menace there. jsut an asking: dont suggest that again...please

That's nothing I've seen and was shot down by a La5 from the twilightzone. The La5 had no wings or surfaces was a flaming COMET but flew around for a good 3 mins with hard turning and still shoot'n.I watch that La5 take 5 30 mm rounds from one bloke and about 40 20 mm from me.I recieved film(from dude in 109 that shot him too) of said encounter and saw all the hit again.lol RIGHT AFTER ME AND I FORGOT 109 GUYS NAME WERE RANTING OVER CHANNEL 100 ABOUT IT ops caps. Then I heard HT say BYE-BYE Torq and he booted me. Since that day I never say anything about twiligthzone thingys, play the Sim enough you'll see it all.Hmmm one ponders if the Internet is a woman...... maybe Inhernet..

Torque, the flaming comets I've been close enough to shoot and hit acted the same way. Emptied my clip in to them and they just flame on.

Haven't seen any in AH yet, but in some other sim I've seen a dozen or so.

I've taken off with team mates smoking and flaming from the get go. Give em a yell, Hey your on fire/smoking. They don't see it and no one else does either.

I've seen plenty of internet crazy stuff in my experiences in these simms. Been killed by flamers and the whole bit.

When ya get killed by a flamer try to be cool about it. The chances the guy is cheating are pretty slim.

I was flying the other night, had a spit in my sites, he warped, I followed, killed him, looked at my beacon, red. Got on channel 1 and apologized for the warp, landed and relogged.

Like torque said, the web is like a woman, very unpredictable.

Of course the Internet is 100% reliable ! This "packet loss" is a secret plan by Microsquash. The OS automatically checks to see if you are running a competing software and if so, inserts random errors. This was previously thought to be the Intel "Floating Point"  CPU problem. I have run AH on Linux using the "Wine" emulator and have not had this problem occur !....

Also IMHO "RAM" is not stupid....

COMPUTERS HAVE RAM.
MORE RAM="FASTER" COMPUTER
BEING SMART IS SOMETIMES CALLED "BEING QUICK"
RAM IS QUICK.
HENCE RAM CANNOT BE "STUPID"

I think all forum members should drink "Wine" and if uptight.. repeat until no longer uptight or sleeping.
