Drex has never spanked me like fester has done.......so many times :D. In fact I've never seen Drex fighting, so I can't really tell. ;)

All I know is that the only guy able to do a 40+ streak in a continuous sortie in a P38L, with all the enemy planes in the MA looking actively to shoot him down, was Fester. And he returned to base successfully after that one, IIRC. :)

I don't think there is anybody else around able to do that kind of thing.

Not really.

1)  Alt-S, take screen shot.
2)  Send to Support@Hitechcreations.com.
3)  .squelch Fester
4)  Continue with game and let HTC decide how to handle it.

Easy.

Wab

"Great Sticks" are the ones who give you a when you shot them down.

"Great Sticks" are the ones who help out a newbie.

"Great Sticks" are the ones who volunteer their time and lifestyles to bring us fun, enjoyment in AH in the form of Scenarios.

"Great Sticks" are the guys that fly a goon when you been working on a field all morning trying to capture but no one will be a goon.

Great sticks definition goes far beyond skill in Air to Air combat.

Cita was a good stick,he was far from a "Great stick"

Hot damn, Rip and I finally agree on something! :D Spot on, Rip.

Fester became almost an icon in AH. No matter how he did it, IMO there is fester-era and post-fester-era of AH.

You've got to be kidding me. "Gee Mr. Fester, can I have your autograph?" LOL! Hristo, yer killing me, do you really believe that adults playing AH see Fester as an icon in the game? That is too damn funny.

The Fester/HTC situation is not my business, though I must have a longer memory than some here.

I am also constantly amazed by the ability of some people to excuse away the asocial behavior of people simply because they possess some perceived talent.

Newsflash: the same rules should and do apply to everyone. Geez, this reminds me of the last time a big-name pilot was banned. What a lobby that was, basically saying, "He's too good to be removed, let him come back!"

Fester/Citabria happens to have two things that usually come together. Loads of piloting skill and an enormous uncontrolled ego. An ego which provoked some "explosions" now and then

My personal fav was when he threatened to push Whels in a wheelchair down some stairs.

Festbria was addicted and hated it but loved it all the same.

And theres the rub, and the reason he committed virtual suicide.

Should he be allowed to return (if he hasnt already) is soley up to him and HTC but I suggest he take a few weeks off, or a few months, to gain some much needed perspective.

It IS afterall, just a game :)

I totally agree Wab, however it does raise the issue of people taking this GAME way too seriously.

It's kinda like how people behave when they're driving.  People will mouth off because its easy to do behind the shield that the car places between you and the guy your yelling at.  AH is the same.  If we were playing face to face instead of behind the screen of the internet, nobody would behave like that.

We've all bitten our lip when some dweeb does something to upset you in AH.  Kill stealing is the one that makes my lips bleed the most.  Most of us can restrain ourselves.  Others can't:(  Unfortunately there are too many of the 'others'.  HTC take no prisoners and they are dead right, but the rest don't seem to learn the lesson.  Remember gunman26??

I think its time everyone takes a step back and looks at all this for what it really is a game.  A game very few of the worlds population will  ever get to play.  We should consider ourselves very lucky to be part of the few percent of people who can afford to spend 15 bucks on such a luxury.  So many people can't afford food in this world, yet we get this wondrous game the internet and HTC has brought us and what do we do?

On another note, of course y'all realise that the man of the moment will be reading all of this and if he didn't have an ego b4, he sure does now:)

What should we do, like someone said above people when they rain on your parade, roll again and go rain on theirs but most of all be thankful that we're the priviledged few.

Ah hell, everyone is adding their 0.02 worth.....

I respected fester's flying...in fact, if I knew he was in the area, I woud avoid him...but as a personality, he had the charm of a young blow fish.  I often squelched him.

Now, MOST folks in this game have blown up or whined heavily at one point or another...it's just the nature of the beast.  However, a totally abrasive personality and a mouth to match certainly won't win anyone a "mister congeniality" award.

Sorry, I don't buy into the skill/ego thing.  There are plenty of good sticks in here that hardly say a word.  I prefer to think of him as a mouth with a big ego that just happens to be a decent flyer also.

I agree that he made his bed, he should lie in it.  Doesn't matter how good he is.  We should not be subject to his ranting simply because he can score so well in the game.

As for it not being our business, I beg to differ.  He is just another player, like all of us, and his actions impacted directly on the player group as a whole (it's the reason he was banned!).  It most certainly does concern us.  If it didn't, then he would not have been banned to begin with.

"He's an excellent stick weather you're flying wing or fighting against him."

"Fester has ... some issues"

Yep, that about sums it up.  Although I must say, even my pig headed self thought he had cleaned up his act...until he turned retarded again, that is.  Too bad, I couldn't give a poop about how well he flew, but he could be amusing at times.
