DOS prompt
« on: July 01, 2002, 09:09:02 AM »
Hi there.
I have a bit stupid question to ask, and I am sure there is someone out there who can answer it!
How do I open a DOS window within a folder in Win ME?
(need to launch a file that way)
Thanks in advance.
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

I beleive you can go to the Run box and type "command" and press enter and it will give you a console DOS like box.

Check for tweakIU AFAIK it should have this option

You want to start a command prompt in a given folder using the contextual popup menu ?

I believe in ME you click:

start menu/accessories/command promt (DOS promt)

this will bring up the dos promt window then you will have to find the folder containing executable file (.exe) that you want to open

square brackets denote a folder  =  [folder]
