Just face it, the majority of the playerbase of AH are pure dweebs who go where the fence is the lowest. Therefore it's never possible to create an enviroment that would be reasonably structured for continuous and fun gameplay.
Whatever limitations are suggested, people are crying hell and cancelling their subsciptions. They use 'I pay my $15' as an argument against anything that would make the game more fun for the other side that also pays the same amount. Whatever changes are suggested, there are always a loud bunch of conservatists who resist any change just for the sake of it. When someone suggests it MIGHT be reasonable to balance sides a bit when it's 100 vs 20, the namecalling starts and the guys with balls fighting at the disadvantage are all of the sudden whiners. The same dweeby GB attitude replicates with UBB responses attacking the few who dare to post their differing opinnions publicly. 'School yard mobbing' is a better name for MA/Ubb very, even too, often.
When I started AH the game had a better atmosphere. Or maybe I was just green and blind at that time.
Maybe it's just boredom to the whole game, who knows, but IMO the atmosphere and dweebyness are at all time high in Aces High.
Maybe it's deep in human nature to join the superior side and take the path of least resistance. I've seen it already in WB before, never though as it has been in AH. It detests me, and with it, the community aswell.
Luckily I'm going to have a forced break in playing and I'm hoping I could find some of the lost fun after my return - if there will be one.
