Has anyone got Neverwinter Nights?
« on: June 28, 2002, 09:53:40 PM »
Bought it this morning and i'm having a great time playing it.:)   I've created 2 characters, 1 is a goody 2 shoes paladin and the other is a huge, fat, stupid half-orc barbarian (looks just like the hulk so i named him that:) ).   My half-orc is so dumb he speaks in broken english.....it's sooo funny, even the NPC's insult me about my stupidity and the way i speak.:D
"Willy's gone and made another,
Something like it's elder brother-
Wing tips rounded, spinner's bigger.
Unbraced tailplane ends it's figure.
One-O-nine F is it's name-
F is for futile, not for fame."

I have a happy Bard who is mastering in the arts of healing, but can also perform devastating combat spells as well as get some hits in with a heavy crossbow :).  The game is great, and has many possibilities....but the only downfall of multiplayer seems to be that there's A) No sharing of loot (Gold, Items, etc.) and ther characters are stored locally on your computer...which leads to rampant cheating as in Diablo 1.  :(

Then you need to find a hardcore DM to play with.. We have one at work. We will store our characters on his machine and play a clean game with those characters. Noticed all the online modules are diablo clones....  kill monster, monster spawns .. repeat till bored... no fun. Doenst even feel D&D like.

Yeah, it's really missing that greasy 15 year olds with braces and velcro shoes 'feel'.
