Yeah, thats a little square that shows you where to put your lead
for the best shot. Like, a computer generated square that shows where your pipper should be to hit the bandit. The square should be leading the target however much it will take to put lead in him.
Sorta like, easy targeting mode. Except I think the bore site is easier to use. The square just clutters up your view....

a non-fixed site.

One that moves to teach you how to lead.
Gone from the game. Please see Spikes or Nefarious for any Ahevents.net admin needs.

The way I see that is that it just made teaching people to lead easier.

Sight corrects for YOUR moves, Gee's, etc.

Doesn't effect main, would be I imagine selectable for CT or SEA.

Good news for me.
Actually this whole release is full of gooddies

thanks for the explanation

i like the idea of this release - making AH more friendly for newbies

as much as i hate getting shot down by anyone newer then myself, better competition is always good

BTW, just as a sidenote--unlike things like stall buzzers and aoa limiters, lead-computing gunsights were in use well before the end of WW2   :)

I want my fixed site back...

I don't like the site estimating my lead, it's usually wrong and I shoot better when I use a fixed site and do my own estimating

Yes, I knew what a lead computing sight is. My question was aimed at realism of this implementation.

I know that P51 and P47 had it. Some even on late LW planes. Maybe some others too. I also gather that it wasn't very accurate. But will we have that thingie in a Zeke or Emil ?!

It was cool to see it in Jane's WW2 Fighters. But only on planes which used it.

Kinda worried...

P.S.
Guenther Rall didn't like them. Will we at least have an option to keep a fixed gunsight ?
