Cool Sight, how did you determine this to be a P-51 sight?
I copied my WB deflection sight to AH.

The only evidence that I have... is that this looks like the P51D sight modeled in Jane's WWII fighters (also similar to the '51 sight in MS Combat Flight Sim).

Since Jane's is known for their research, and since they're so accurate in the rest of their cockpit layouts, I decided to use their gunsight as a model.  Plus I think they had Bud Anderson beta testing for them.

I'd love it if anyone could provide a look at the real K-14A sight picture.  Until then, I guess I'll just go off of what Jane's provides.

First:  that link isn't good on my computer (no DNS entry or somesuch).

Second:  I'll see what I can do about the K-14...  But if you want to know what the Mark18 looks like (which was used somewhat interchangeably with the K-14, and was installed on P-51s, P-47's, through F-86A's and F9F's through the -5), I've got one sitting not an arms length from my computer.  And, when it's working (it's being restored, so it's kind of an on/off thing) I can get just about anything you'd like from it...

btw the P51D (k) sight was red. also by the descriptions that is not it. the Gyro unit had (I think) 2 dials atleast one for plane type and one for approx distance. when in a turn it would move a couple of dots and when the dots was on each tip it was time to fire. the same basics as applied to the flankers gun funnel sight but you had to put some data in.

I have made several non historic sights and had complements but none of my web sights are both working and accept .bmp files   also its easy to make differant colors of sights   just got to know what yer doin'   if someone could get thier hands of pictures actual diagrams of these planes' sights I would most enjoy a chance and recreating them with thier true colors   now if HT would just ad some factsimaly of gyro sight movement

Thanks for the hint...    I forgot I had wanted to make it more of an orange/red color.  And since I do sometimes know what I'm doin'...   it's now red! (green one is still available though).
