« on: July 05, 2002, 04:26:51 AM »
I just don't get why this plane is 60 perks to fly, I fought it for a couple hours in the CT today and had no problem in it with my George, In fact I got a couple with my Tony.I flew the plane aganst the Japanese too and found it only Margenaly better (imo) than the other F4U's, what abot like 30 perks? Even this sema high, whats up with the cost am I missing somthing?

Reduce the cost of the F4U4

I agree with you, Brady, and added my own thread about this some weeks ago. As I recall, the -4 was reduced in cost from 60pp to 50pp, but that I think is still too much. The F4U-4 is one of those frustrating planes (like some of the 109s and the P38L (as modelled in AH)) which cannot handle its own speed, and compresses. Quite unlike the P51D, which certainly can handle its own speed, unless you really push it too far.

Given that neither the P51D nor the LA7 have any perk value, I don't see why the F4U-4 should cost anything. It's not as if it's easy to fly.
