Problem with Bombsight calibration - BUG?
« on: July 06, 2002, 07:10:33 AM »
I would have posted this in the Bug Forum but it doesn't seem to be working quite right.

Anyway, I've mapped my Bombsight calibration keys & keeping the cross hair on a ground feature whilst pressing mark ground key.  The problem I have is that whilst I attempt to mark the ground the screen freezes which makes it difficult to keep the crosshair on the same feature.  Then if you keep trying it I get a total system lock with sound loop.  I can only get to the yellow calibration text, not even had green yet.

So for me bombing is totally out until this is fixed.  Any ideas of what could be causing it?  I've heard other people mention the same kinda bug.

Regards
NEXX

Select 5 or less days and it will then display current posts

It doesnt matter how well you track the point, just that you're exactly on it both when you press, and release the key.

Replicant,

Try to check if the key you assigned is not shared by an external application (firewall, anti-virus, etc...)

Tried mapping it to another key yet ?
No such lockups here on my old PIII500, so... must be somethin' else :)
