BTW what's the .plane # for the HUNDRED FOOT PARATROOPERS from last year's CON?

I can't remember, the number, but I bet the TROOPER is still somewhere in the code  :D

Like to use him offline, with his beer bottle, pizza tossin' armament.

The Me 163 can't dogfight so the idea of it being used as base defense is obsurd. It has a hard time hitting bombers, due to fast closure speed and aimming of cannon, so how the hell is it gonna hit fighters?

Me 163 would be perfect for the perk system.  I'd love to see it.

Dowding, what I said, wa sthe Mk.1 was the only one to see action, and it was againt V1 bombs.

The Mk.III, as you said, saw operational service, even on the other side of the channel, and it was produced in more numbers, BUT it never saw any action, not even against V1 bombs (V1's were pretty gone by that time).

Hi All,
I think the Komet would work nicely if only based at the HQ, The HQ is still (As far as I know) the only target which still requires more than a single buff to take it out, A few 163's scrambled against an incoming buff formation would be cool. I would not however like to see it available at other bases.

The Meteor MkIII was used for some strikes on German positions, IIRC.

The Meteor MkI would hardly even be a perk plane, probably in the 5 to 10 point range.

The Meteor MkI had a top speed of 408mph.

The Meteor MkIII had a top speed of 480mph.

All jets/rockets must be perked. They were jut too rare in the whole picture of WW2 not to be perked.

The only jet that should really be in AH is the Me262.

If you must have have an Allied jet to please the Allies it should be the Meteor.

I really feel the Me262 is the only really representative jet of WW2.

Its the only one that saw any real significant service use, had by far the most WW2 production and is the only one to actually attack and fight against real planes.

The Me163 is very very rare as well, this is far less likely and less representative of WW2.

AH only really needs the Me262. All other jets or the Me163 are irrelevant as far as WW2 is concrened.

GRUNHERZ,

So is the Ta152, but it is in as a perk plane.

Admittedly the Ta152 polygon model can borrow a lot from the Fw190D-9 polygon model whereas the Me163 and Meteor would require completely new models.

I agree Karnak, and have often said that Im uncomforable with the Ta152s inclusion in AH, perked or otherwise. Its simply too damn unimportant.

Dr. Langweiler, the inventor of the Panzerfaust one-man-anti-tank weapon, proposed a revolutionary armament which, he claimed, would virtually guarantee a hit and probably a "kill" by even the most inexperienced pilot. This weapon, which was known as SG 500 Jagdfaust, was simply a thin 50-mm. high-explosive rocket propelled shell housed in a vertical tube and fired by means of a light sensitive cell activated by the shadow of the bomber. Five tubes were installed in each wing, some 30 in. from the fuselage and sprayed fanwise, and it was proposed that the Me 163B should fly beneath the target bomber at maximum speed, the vertical separation being 65 to 300 ft. The Jagdfaust was tested by flying an Me 163B beneath a canvas target suspended betwen two balloons, and successfull results with these trials were followed by an actual test in combat, Leutnant Fritz Kelb actually destroying B-17 Fortress by use of the Jagdfaust.

Why not ?  :D

naa.. guys.  I want the damn thing in AH and unperked.  I can't imagine it being much good as a fighter interceptor.  If you dodge it once you never have to worry about it again.   Well worth it to see it reach out and blast a big ol  fat suicide buffer before he drops.

I got no use for the 262 tho and think it is a horrible mistake in the ma.
