CCP...MA Maps
« on: July 07, 2002, 03:13:15 PM »
First, I would like to publicly the AK's for tackling the first player submitted MA map, and the first one in 1.10.

Second, whether you like the map or not, I can say, I've not met a greater group of guys that are committed to AH, it's Community, and AH's growth.  you guys.

Third, I like building maps for AH, and have a pretty good knowledge of the editor ( along with many others).

What I am proposing, ( I spell worse than HiTecH) is a Community Contributed  Map, or CCP for short.

What I will try to attempt is a Map designed by players, where everyone gets to have input, threwout it's design. I know I am opening up a HUGE can of worms, But I want people to input on a daily basis and we can develope a map together and submitt it to HTC. Now I am not one of the thick skinned people nor am i thin skinned. What I do want is people to give input, pro's and con's into the developement. What i don't want is personal attacks to people submitting suggestions or ideas. I'm sure we can do this as adults and design something for everybody.

I will continue this discussion in the Proper forum ( Terrain Editor)  feel free to drop on by and add suggestions. I'll open up a thread called MA5.

Wouldn't that be CCM?

I wouldn't do it any other way:) I just quickly ran the relief map threw the editor to get the grids and show perspective. I moved the thread discussion to the terrain Editor general forum if you would like to see my Idea.

Hhehe. I say:
First give it the stroke of artistic genius (you don't need no steenkin' community), then tweak it according to how it works with 400 people on it (because almost nobody hits a home run in their first AB).
