Return of the 27th Sentai!
« on: June 24, 2002, 12:12:55 PM »
Salute!

Lowejg and I are leaving VF-27 to re-establish the 27th Sentai in AH.    Some of you may remember the 27th from its heyday back in the WarBirds' Historical Arena.   I hope we are able to achieve the same success and reputation for good flying and fighting here in Aces High.

We will be primarily a CT squad, however as one of our goals is to increase the number of flyers in the CT, you can also expect to see us fly goodwill recruiting tours in the MA from time to time.

Although Sentai is a IJAAF term, we will fly all the Japanese aircraft, from both CV and land bases.   We will also fly as a Luftwaffe Jagdgeschwader during ETO CT set-ups.

If any of you want to test your mettle flying in a CST-time zone based squad dedicated to Japanese iron, don't hesitate to contact Lowejg (vande42@ev1.net) or myself (tjlaven@attbi.com).

Thanks!

Konichiwa Skrbrfr!

I tried but didn't have your email address on my new computer and your email is not listed in your current squad's website.  Also I checked your stats and it didn't appear that you were flying anymore...

Glad you saw the postings though.   We are currently getting organized and had a meet last night in the MA.   We'll be flying
Tues/Thurs 9pm CST, splitting time between MA and CT as needed to get to our Japanese rides.  We will also eventually move to fulltime CT and alternate as LW when the settings aren't PTO.

Not to try to steal you away from Busher, but if you're tired of whizzing around in those Spits, we've got a Hien with your name on it in the hangar.

You're a bomber guy too, no?    Got any stick time in the Ki.67?

Yo Rick,

I thought you were in on this one...
and I had thought you stood down the AH "expeditionary" force for the 27th along time ago.

Oboe and Lowe are picking up the 27th's full Charter for AH.

They have Command and my blessing.

Im quite happy they wanted to pick up the banner... its a proud one to wave.

Quick!

Get over there before all the good Hiens are snapped up.

I saw a few nasty oil stains on the deck of the transportship.

(Oboe...ask Andijg for the Jpeg I sent for you)

Got the recruiting poster Aanvil, thanks!   Its superb.

Rickod would be a welcome addition to our little band - as any former 27th Sentai'er would be!  (hint, hint).

Anybody know why the graphic I posted above sometimes doens't display?   Sometimes you can right click on it and select "show picture" and it works, other times if you cut the URL out of the properties of the graphic and go to that site, then click back here it will show???

Is it something to do with the webhosting service?  I've tried both Brinkster and Geocities...
