Suspension of disbelief factor is good in this setup

Maybe it has something to do with the book I'm reading ("Sharks over China") but swanning around in my p-40b last night was one heck of a good time.  Pushing my luck and diving for cover it was almost like being there and seems close to the real life accounts I'm reading about...  Thanks to HTC for the early war kites! Great fun guys!

Agreed.  I think that has also accounted for the increased numbers.  We have a setup that uses the new planes in what seems, to me, to be a relatively well-balanced setup.

BTW, Sqrl, congrats for shooting my butt down (yet again).

Thanks for the feedback.  I'm inclined to agree.  Oh, and I'm reading "Sharks Over China" right now myself.  It really got me pyshc'd for v1.10.

just the Ki-67 is a bit much for the setup, but we've got no Betty...  :(

other than that it's really good. (tho the bostons are a pain to shoot down with just BBs!  ;))

Well Nifty, your right the KI-67 is a bit much, but the Japanese players have the same problem with the Boston. The guy really has to screw up or you wont catch him, it's pretty much the same with all the Allied planes. If you lose your speed your in trouble, as long as you keep the coal in the furnace hot the Zekes are really no threat. One of the last sorties I flew last night we up'd Zekes from A25, VF-27 came in with alt in F4Fs, and hit us pretty hard, right on their heels came a squad of P-40s. It was high stress, you get a decent gun solution, and  then massive 6 calls coming over voice. It was really tense, and a blast. A couple of times I got close to an enemy and wouldnt fire until I checked my 6, by the time I swing back to front view he was pulling out of cannon range. That was one of the funnest nights I've had in CT.
The planes match up well, the Alllies are strong in the dive and speed department, the IJ's in the manuver department. Excellant set-up. Don't count out the manuverability of the Hurricane or F4F, though. The Hurricane can get in the weeds and mow with the Zeke with a lot of success. The F4F is supriseingly manuverable, and it has the best firepower of this set-up. 1Duke1 of VF-27 fought against four of us in a turn an burn battle for close to  five minutes on the deck near A25 before he was shot down.

I had a great time last night. Flew a few sorites and got a kill in a Val. I think it took about 600 BB's to take down one P-40. :)

BTW: It's great to see the 27th Sentai again! One on the great squads from my WB days.
