And if we look back to the last sentence of the first paragraph of my original post that started this "thread" (I use the word loosly here) we see that we'e come full circle at last. That's all I hope, that we *have* a home with the kind of legs AW had, that some of the people who faded away (for *whatever* reaason) come back to play and have fun HERE. AW isn't even waked yet, and I have good hope and good vibes.

PS: For a lesson in corporate buyout read: "Iron Fist" The legend of Karl Kiekhaefer. He may have been one of the last truly great industrial barons. What Brunswick did to him and Mercury Marine stands as a lesson to anyone seeking merger.

I am sure you can find a few in Syd-a-knee along with the rest of your countryman deportees.

OK AWers.. watch the trashing this one gets.

This has been an exersize in messing with your collective persceptions and may not  reflect the opinions of the broadcaster..  :)

=WW=

I can't say anything about realism, I haven't flown any WW2 fighters ever..

But I do know that I find this sim very much fun and the planes seem to act in a logical way that makes sense to me personally.

The fun factor - realism aside - is the most important thing. This is a game.. For example the introduction of inflight external sounds made the game much more entertaining - even though it might be unrealistic.

However, after growing up seeing air war movies, that's what you expect to get.

IMO Aces High is the best product available at the moment and that's why I'm here. I played WB for a year or so and got slaughtered once I came here.. In a few weeks I adjusted however and life started looking better again.

To all you ex-aw folks: This sim is for sure different than your old one.. Don't lose your patience, it will take time to adjust. But in the end you will.. Welcome to the team.

MrRipley,
No question about it, AH is by far the best I've encountered. The sights and sounds are not to be believed and the level of detail installed is to be commended.

Sorry I decided to erase that post dude, I decided to take my own advise with regard to the BBS and just say "NO"..hehe

NNTP has spell check, just sayin' (tm Pasha)

I'd love to keep trading barbs with a grammar nazi from a nation more famous for its convicts and frustrated women than anything else but I have better things to do with my time, like taunt Canadians for  bringing Celine Dion into the world.

I did it, I read all the posts down here...

SWulfe is the only one that's been something
to listen to in this thread. Unfortunatley
none of the AW people seemed to be reading
a single line of what he wrote...
