I don't know anything about Air Warrior.  I'm not going to make fun of it or the people who played it.  I welcome them to the arenas and scenarios of AH.  But discussions about other games belong in the O'Club.

SW, those people BB named are *your* elders. You just don't know it. AW history is very relevant - where do you think your SHEEP came from for openers. The world just came full circle....... and will soon shoot you in the ass.  :p

I don't feel stupid, nor will I look up his past. You think I should accept and cherish the Air Warrior past, I think you should wake up and stop the roadkill. I didn't fly Air Warrior, therefore I do not care at all about it or the people behind it.

Got it?

A kill has been recorded.

To those here that can not or will not understand our feeling of loss, those that don't understand that the past and the future can not be separated, I can but quote those wiser than me.

Look your fugging idiots.

BB IS ONLINE. AW IS FLIGHT SIM. HAMMER THAT INTO YOUR amazinhunk SIZE OF BRAIN YOU HAVE.

Without Air Warrior, this GREAT sim would NOT be what it is. Air Warrior was the FIRST MMOG. It was a revolution, a quiet one yes, but a revolution.

You only care about AH history fine. HiTech made AH. Hitech came from AW. HT knows who BB is. For THAT reason alone you should respect both of them, you elitists.

Comparing BB to me, since we're both AWers cna you said they all look alike, would be like comparing an amazinhunk (you) to the rest of the body.

Learn to respect history instead of K/D ratios.

I never thought the day would come where i WOULD agree with Brat......But i do.

Sorry BB's post got all mucked up.

To all the AHer's that don't know online fighter sym's history, you should learn it.

My online gameplay started in AW, I came to AH almost the opening day, and love it here.

With the influx of AWer's now, personalities will clash, and many people will not post on this BBS for fear of personal attacks which it seams MOST threads turn into lately. I have the fortune to know both sides of this fence, as some others also do. I can say BOTH crowds have their good and bad people and there is really no difference between the two. We will eventually mesh into one AH community. This chest thumping and icon slamming has got to stop! this is really getting annoying.
I also thought the porn filter or whatever it was, was in poor taste. Anyone that knows BB would be offended. Some people can Paint, some can sing, BB's talent is his words, how he uses them and how he delivers them, and how they have meaning. I savor his words, he is a man that speaks and the room is silent. His words are His canvas! Thats why many people find the post offensive. Lets just stop and think before we post.

Staga, I know you never intented this the way it is percieved, but it is in very poor taste.

SWulf, Not knowing the person is irrelevant, and is not an excuse to do what was done.

Anyone that's been flying flightsims seriously for any short period of time knows who Blue Baron is...and I'm sure every single one of them is rolling their eyes at just how tasteless and stupid that joke was.

Kind of ironic that the same group of people that berated the AW people for their humor on these boards are now spouting "it was only a joke...you just don't understand OUR humor."

Yes, and you must play the theme from "Jesus Christ Superstar" every time someone on BB's list walks into the room too.

FWIW I flew AW beginning in '90 on GEnie when it was $6/hr. Was great, had a lotta fun. Embarrased to admit this but I thought it died 5 years ago.

Not knowing him is relevant. Regardless of what he has done in the past, it's just that- the past. I've had no interaction with him or with Air Warrior.

You people seem to think that because Air Warrior was, then all of us should bow down and sing it's praise.

Not gonna happen with me.

I was only defending what Staga did, which was simply posting a link. It was your choice to click on it or not.

It was also your choice to get offended by it or to take it with a grain of salt.

Either you got thick skin, or you don't. It wasn't a slam on Blue Baron, nor Air Warrior.

You all chose to take it that way.

So again, I do not care about his past or what he did for Air Warrior. I had absolutely none, zero, zilch interaction with that software or the people behind it. Ergo, I need not read up on it or care about it- it's history.

It isnt about another game. In case you missed it Air Warrior has ceased operation.
It is about the history of online sims and one of its founding members. I believe the title of this forum is ACES HIGH GENERAL DISCUSSION. There would be no ACES HIGH if there hadnt been a Air Warrior and men like Blue Baron. Get it? or do you need someone to draw you a picture?

I understand some of you think that your tenure in Aces High gives you some sort of right to look down your noses at the "new guys", but try tripping on your tiny ego in doing so. Some of us have been online along damn timeand no where we came from.
