according to the internet it was designed as a carrier dive bomber based on the He 118, but the wings fluttered in a dive, so it was used for other things (recon, night fighter, subject for web pages, etc)

ok been a day or so

Pongo was closest

I think the picture shows an: Aichi M6a1-k Seiran Kai (name later change from Seiran to Nanzan -s outhern mountain)
this was the trainer variant with undercarriage.

intended for an attack role (the only submarine lauched attack aircraft of WWII I think)

Its development was initiated when the Japanese imperial navy began procurement of 'I-400' class submarines. each sub had a watertight hanger into which 3 of these planes could be stored.

The aircraft design was changed so that they had floats (sorry pic didn't show them) for water launch and these would then be jettisoned before attack.

prototype first flown in 1943.1st planned attack was against the US navy anchorage at Ulithi atoll, but the war finished before the attack was made.

ANother picture of Aichi M6A Seiran (mountain Haze)
