Having Trouble Closing Your WB Account? Read this:

OK, after several emails with no reaction I contacted my credit card company. The bounced a payment. Still the charges came! So this time I emailed and cc:'d the editorial staff at cdmag.com (online magazine I love to read) - ain't I a complete bastard!

Many people in AH commented to me how they too have had similiar problems.

Anyway, looks like my wishes have been granted, so if any of you guys (and crossdressers) out there are having problems like I did, contact this lady:

Mark,

I received a copy of this letter regarding your Warbirds account and I am
investigating why your account was not closed in February as you say you
originally requested. I apologize for this not being taken care of right
away for you and I assure you that your account has now been closed and
there will be no future charges from iEN.

In addition, I have researched the history on your account and found that
there has been no usage on the account since Jan 16 and I have refunded all
charges since then that your credit card has not already charged back to iEN.

Again, I apologize and I hope that you will let me know if there is
anything else I can help with. Also, if you know of anyone else who is
having this same difficulty please do not hesitate to have them contact me
personally.

This post is starting to sound like a broken record...same old story with iEN...why don't they 'fix that?'.... 2 emails, 1 phone calls, and 1 last email threatening iEN to send the NC Attourney Generals office after them...3 months finally did it for me..they did refund  the 3 months worth....

Do they keep the interest on the overcharges?  I mean what a neat way to add come extra cash, keep billing of 3-4months then claim an error.  Return the money but still have the interest made on it.

LOL!  I know, I know, $10 a month wont get squat for interest, but I love conspiracy theories. I heard JFK jr. is still alive!! plays dog poker with elvis.

p.s. What if the restaraunt you went to 2 months ago was still billing ya?

Just to clarify... many people in AH have commented on difficulties with closing their iEN accounts (Warbirds).  I have not heard a story related to problems with closing AH accounts.  From my experience... its as easy as clicking a button.  Of course you should be prepared to get a refund in your checking account for the remaining days that month that you didn't play.

I can comment on AH account closing.  When I closed mine back in May, the next day had an email with a refund back in my account within a week.  I was floored by the service.  It was one of my main reasons coming back, it was handled professionally.

I kept my WB account open for six months even though I did not have Internet connection. I did not mind (then) supporting them with my $10/months but I was not ready to part with $30/month, neither was my wife
So every couple of months I would try to switch my account from $30/month to $10/months. I could not use their web page account manager (no Internet, remember). I would contact somebody, explain things, get refund for the previous months of the extra $20/month, be assured that my account was now  $10/months and in a couple of months my wife would catch another couple of $30 charges,

Finally I got hold of Sherry and cancelled the damn account successfully. She is really helpfull and nice.

I bet that AH outsorces the accounting to a professional accounting/billing firm. That is why they have simple flat rate and no problems with opening/closing of accounts.

I am currently going through this nonsense of trying to cancel my WB account since the beginning of June. 3 email messages and a phone call have won me one response which contained information on how to recover my WB password (which I already know), but not a word on how to cancel the account.

Thanks for posting your info. I'll contact this Miracle woman directly.

I recall that before iEn bought WB, you could cancel your account directly from account maintenance. iEN removed the capability for some reason. I have no idea why, but they have continued to charge me for the account which I requested they close. And thats the bottom line. I guess I can feel reassured that they are not just picking on me alone.

This definitely will weigh against any plans
I might have in re-opening an account with them in the future.

I dont know about you guys but i found it quite ez to have a prepay account :P . Infact i got 250+ free hours worth of WB because of accounting problems, so my account never froze when over the limit. They said i should pay up because it was their mistake, but i said "f*ck this" i cant afford it. I Called back 3-4 months later to reactivate it and there was no dept
