This promises to be good fellas. I know how much effort has gone into the planning and logistics for this.

And as an added bonus, my squad is an actuall player :)

The reason for the "no walkons" rule is mostly because we usually don't have room for any at the beginning. There's a limit to how many people can be in the arena at one time, and in "Hostile Shores", we had to ask all of our walkons to leave so that the registered players could get into the arena. All in all, we just think that if we're going to put this much time into planning this scenario for you guys, the least you can do is get organized and pre-register. It makes it much easier to run a scenario when everyone pre-registers, without walkons. Our previous scenarios have always been heavily populated on the first frame, then the numbers taper down after that. When this happened, we would start using walkons in the later frames. With the new format of holding the event on only two days, we're hoping to reduce the amount of no-shows, so that walkons are not needed in the last two frames.

Rotor, at least you have the chance to register.  I got Aces High after Hostile Shores was filled up.  I fortunately was able to walk-on in the 4th frame, but got stuck in a 190 which I hadn't ever flown before.  lol.  I got wasted pretty hard.

Just register for it.  If something comes up and you can't make a frame, oh well, you can't predict the future.   :)

i dont know if this is clear but its not just a squad event.

single players can sign up and will be assigned flights.

so, if you sign up, you won't miss out  :)

I come from a different school of thought.  If I register I am expected to be there.  My team is counting on me to get killed before they do  :).

Seriously, tho, question time, cant the arena be setup to hold a certain amount of numbers higher than what the event is designed for?  I.e. you design an event for 200 participants, make the arena hold 250.  That way you will be covered in case of noshows, and those whose life cannot be planned more than an hour in advance can show up if life allows it.  Just a thought.

I think arena limits are imposed by the devs, not by the CM team.  could be wrong though.

and Rotor, in that case, if ya register, real life be damned!   :D  My lady friend knows that Friday night is Squad Night.  That's why we're going to a movie tonight instead of tomorrow night.   :)  I've missed two frames of the TODs.  First one I had surgery that morning and was drugged out on pain killers (not to mention I couldn't drive for 7 days, so that meant no rudders for 7 days either) and the second one I had plans to be outta town for several years in advance (Miami-FSU game).  So I'm from the same mold as you are in the respect of I'm showing up if I said I was.
