Gun sight on P40 and D3A ?

I played AH for the first time today since the arrival of v1.10

and I thought I should try the new P40 and what do I see if not two gunsights ?????? whats up ?

And also the D3A sight confuses me have I missed something?

p40.. in reality the reflector gunsight was not always reliable (bulbs could blow etc) the iron sight u see is the backup that actually existed.

I might be wrong..


heard someone say the d3a sight is actually a dive bomb sight

Wasn't the second sight on the P-40 used for dive bombing?

Ok,  u mean that the P40 actually had two gunsight and that we have the historically right setup of p40

And the D3A strange sight was a dive bomb sight also actually in the D3A, can we use those sights for something or ?

Yes, the sight you circled is for divebombing. It works amazingly well with the driveflaps.

As plumbob said so I set up views like this:

1,Hat switch in default position (i.e not touching it) = forward view through gun site.

2, Hat switch pushed forward (or number 8 on the keypad) = looking through dive bomb site.
