I won!

The bonus round is easy... just wait for the sliding ring to start back up. When it does, wait until it is about 1/3 the way back, then run the power up to half. I hit it perfectly, singed no one.

Sweet!  Thanks SirLoin!

But of course i think the best part about toboganning is when things don't go so well. Extra points always go to the person who gets his or her leg caught in the sled when things go bad.

I worked at a ski hill (that reads "hill" not mountain) here for 3 or 4 years.

Working the night shift making snow was always the most fun.  The snow guns would create huge drifts 30, sometimes even 40 feet high.

Well of course as any slack employees more interested in goofing off than doing our jobs, we would grab aluminum grain shovels and go toboganning. The "game" was to get going about 30 miles and hour then hit these drifts.  Points were given for height, distance, screaming really loud and being seperated from your sled and rag-dolling through the air.

Bruised tailbones and smashed grain shovels always resulted.

There's nothing like seeing the Parliment Buildings, at night during a snow storm.  That neo-gothic architecture just seems to fit so perfectly.

Fried some guys on all except the last one as well.

Man, I was nailing every round perfectly up until about the sixth.  Then I used no power, because I thought it was one of these "trick" games where it doesn't really matter what power setting you use, the animation is fixed, and that is was more a joke on us card-carrying Soviet Canuckistans.

They got to the end of the ramp with next to no speed, then toppled off the end of it. :)  I was screwed from then on out, because my confidence was shattered, and I kept singing burnning them, or sending them cartwheeling with too little or too much power. :)

I'm in Ottawa, too.  Just finished digging out the damned snowbank at the end of my driveway that the snowplow keeps replacing every few hours. ;)

Cheers,
phaetn

Is the river frozen yet?

One of my biggest regtrets when I was in Canada was not going to Ottawa to skate on what must be the longest manicured rink in the world.

I'll get there sometime to try it though...its on my "to-do" list.:)

Not frozen yet, however it the water has been lowered in anticipation.

We got hit by the same snow Loin did, quite a spectacular night.  No to cold at all and the it was snowing a whole bunch of those big flakes for most of the day.
