Brady.
I know I  changed my mind about this set-up once, but I am back to my original opinion. This one stinks. Give us the USSR vs IJ fine, give us the IJ vs US fine, but this was too much. Way too big an Allied advantage, it turned into a good old fashioned seal clubin tonight. Worst night I have ever experianced in AH, I guess if your an LA7 or F4U4 pilot it was big fun. If you can't make a setup competitive, get another set-up. By the way if anybody need scrap metal I got at least 10 wrecked japanese planes in the water around A5.:p

Oh, Tai-i Lowe is just overreacting.  Don't let him snow ya, Brady.

The ONLY advantages the Allies had tonight were speed, firepower, durability, Jabo-capability, and 2 v 1 numbers.    Outside of those factors, we had them right we they wanted us.

:D

Does it still beat the MA?   Well, its a lot closer call this time...

We could have some great Pacific setups, we just need some more Japanese aircraft.

See my signature and add:

Ki-61-II Hien
P1Y1 Ginga
Ki-102 Toryu
J2M3 Raiden
J1S1-S Gekko
A6M6c Zero-Sen (A6M5c with a methanol/water based WEP system)
B7A2 Ryusei

Most critical additons:

Ki-84-Ia (very significantly narrows the gap in speed)
Ki-44-IIb/J2M3 (fast climbing interceptors)
H8K2 (heavy bomber)
B7A2 (high end strike aircraft)

Add some of these and the Japanese will have a lot more effective tools to hurt their opponents.

Oh, and brady, the Ki-84's 23-40mph advantage on the N1K2 would do an awful lot to mitigate the speed difference between the Allied aircraft and the Japanese aircraft.  It may still be slower, but it gives the Allied fliers a whole hell of a lot less wiggle room.

Thats what it was I didnt have any of last night ...... Dignity!:D

Karnak.
The 27th Sentai would be proud to add you to our roster. If you'd like I can get Oboe2 our C.O. to put out an invitation in the CT.
Or you can e-mail him from the recruiting page of our website.

By the way Karnak I have always admired your wish list, I would like to point out lets ask for the Ki-100 too. There was 390 of them built and they operated in at least six units, compare that to 150 Ta-152s that were operational in only one unit.
I hope we in the 27th Sentai hear from you soon Karnak.
Brady keep up the good work, one day my flying will ctach up to my whining!:D

SCORE!

The 27th Sentai would love to have you join us, Karnak!   Some of us will be training in the CT or TA Sunday night 8-10pm CST, depending on where we find our Japanese a/c.   Please join us!

And personally I've always had an interest in the Mitsubishi J2M3a Raiden.    What a potent little brute that fighter is!

I kind of thought you guys held your own Thursday night. I dont think flying the N1K is that bad of a deal. I didnt fly the F4U-4 because I absolutely sucked in it Tues. I did not have a good time at all getting stomped by all the N1K's and co. I did have a little better luck in the LA-7 on Thur night. More then once I had 4-5 bad guys chasing me over A5  so the speed did come in handy. I guess my point is the grass was'nt exactly greener on our side of the fence.

So is there a Midway scenario in the works? Pearl Harbor?

:D

Ya know I just dont see how you could do a whole week set up bases on midway or pearl harbor. All you have is some CV's at midway and one base Midway. hmmmm

At pearl all you have in .welll

The whole imputious to the fighting in AH, is the base capture aspect that is what brings on the fight, unless that aspect is included in a set up like the CT it would I feal have a drastic impact on gameplay.

Howeaver TOD or a scenario would do well to do a set up like this.

A Special Event Scenario for both is actually what I was eluding to. Should have been more specific but i was getting tired after we just gorged ourselves at the fire station:D . As far as a Pearl scenario, is it possible to have cruisers and destroyers "docked" and still man the AA? And if so, can you set it up for the guns to manned by players and not AI? Maybe have it where you cant man the guns or planes till so long into the attack to simulate the surprise of the attack. Im sure someone else has already covered this but, just wondering just the same. Seems like this would be a pretty popular scenario(states the obvious) as would Midway since we have most of the plane except the Kate (i think). Anyway  just curious

Yes it is defentaly food for thought, but the map god's would nead to answer some of those questions.

I realy feal that some of these set up's would be best as a tod or a special event though.

The CT lends it's self more to a campaigne, or a theater, a perioud of the war and a place, Malta 42, The soloms 42, stalengrad 42, Germany 44/45. Rather to a set pice ballte like Midway.

Dont usually read this part of the board much, but just to chime in on an issue discussed above....

There is a Midway scenario being discussed among the CM group.  There is a map being worked on also.  The Battle of Britain is supposed to be our next scenario with Midway being sometime after that.  Not too sure on exact dates.  However, with the problems we have been experiencing in the SEA lately during events where we are approaching 200 participants, this schedule may be affected.  We (the CM group) are hoping to have some discussions with Hitech and crew about these problems and hope to have some type of solution that will allow us to bring you bigger and better events in the SEA.

Now back to our regularly scheduled CT discussion.....  :)
