Hi,

Don't know how relevent this will be to you but while grabbing alt and generally dicking around I clicked on the 'Normal World' drop down and found some nicely detailed maps of all ground targets, from VH fields to Grunt training. I've read the comments of buff pilots of how spread out strat targets are but it does look to my un-educated eye that with a bit of communication, 3 or 4 buff boxes could possibly reduce one to 0% in 1 pass?

Either way, I think they're really cool, but I am easily pleased

The problem is that, x heavy fighters could do the job quicker, and better than x bomber formations.

Dunno, didn't even realise they were there. Click the edit button perhaps and see what files are in your map folder?

innominate jabos always could and have done a better job then buffs at killing fields. Not only that but jabos were used this way ever since I came to ah in version 1.03.

190a8 raids and chog raids were the thing. even in 1.09 jabos killed more airfields then bombers and did it better. Just look at those bish typh raids.

Fighter bombers always have had an advantage over the bombers. Dont act as if this is new for 1.10.

Jabos might always have been better, but this new bomber system has widened the gap making bombers even less useful. The old bombing system was more unrealistic, but it gave a nice balance b/t the numbers of people using fighters and bombers in the ma.

I think the old bomber system worked perfectly with the target distribution of airfields etc. and the overall strat, because both were generalized representations of mass bombers hitting mass targets (while using one bomber on 1-2 hangars). Our new system seems to be set up for mass, inaccurate bomber formations, but we have neither have mass grouped targets capable of being worn down through attrition nor sufficient numbers of organized bomber pilots willing make up said bomber formations.
