The definition goes back an encredibly long way! It actually was a derogitory name shortening for the "Celtic Order of Dickweeds" by there enemies.. thus "Dickweed". These barbarian hords were usually Drunk and slurred even this pronunciation. "Dickweeds" became "Deweeds" and finally hundreds of years later, the generally excepted pronunciation is "Dweebs" or in the singular form "Dweeb". I have been a dweeb for many years and actually tried to go to other squadrons to rid myself of this stigma. Alas..it cannot be shead.. once a "Dweeb" always a "Dweeb"
