How about a greater variety of explosions and load outs, this is the "spice" for gamers.  Especially the explosions for the 8" guns and such, they look like they're firing "duds".

Well, that technically falls under the "graphics" category, which, despite many people convince themselves "it's ok", is a bit lacking. But I'm pretty sure HTC is trying everything they can to maintain an overall quality of program performance and perk up grahics levels at the same time. The graphic engine is a bit old, yes, but when someday the average level of computers people own can all support IL-2 level of graphics and amazing connectivity issues at the same time, we'll get to see a whole new AH.

I like to think so ;)

one of the many good things about AH is that those of us who havent upgraded in > 3 years can play it (unlike IL2, WB3 & whatever pile o krep M$ put out). although if they did somthing like WB2 or RB3D, which had 2 levels of graphics, that would be pretty cool - i quite enjoy seeing the screenshots from some of the cyberpilots w/ good video support

Where there's fire there is smoke.  As it is smoke generated at the impact site a goes straight up into a plume.  I wonder if it would look better and be easier on low end systems if the smoke blew across the field like the smoke shells from a tank.  Just a thought.
