Recently the book "Flugmotoren and Strahltriebwerke" was mentioned, this is indeed a very good book.
There is another one:
"Luftfahrtforschung in Deutschland"
(aviation research in germany)
Like the engine book it covers the history from the beginnings until today.
I already had a view inside it, and it looks good. It also has a part of the engine book inside.
It s thick and expensive, but i found this page where you can get it cheaper:

He is the nephew of Willi Messerschmitt btw. I try to find it out whether a collect order over him is possible.
