Snapshot results 7/31/02 "Targets over London"
« on: August 01, 2002, 12:05:36 AM »
First off I'd like to thank all who participated in this weeks Snapshot Event "Targets over London", and especially AvidMC and kappa for stepping up and helping out by COing the Allied and Axis sides for me. Both did an exceptional job.

Well, on to the scores..

Axis Kills:

Moloch Kill Awarded against Xeyed flying a Spitfire Mk V   15 points
Innomin8 Kill Awarded against v335 flying a Spitfire Mk V   15 points
Innomin8 Kill Awarded against AvidMC flying a Spitfire Mk V   15 points
sykobill Kill Awarded against JSky flying a Spitfire Mk V   15 points
Wespe Kill Awarded against ramzey flying a Spitfire Mk V   15 points

Allied Kills:

WldThing Kill Awarded against BD5Pilot flying a Bf 109F-4   15 points
WldThing Kill Awarded against ronchi3 flying a Bf 109F-4   15 points
ramzey Kill Awarded against kappa Bf flying a 109F-4   15 points
ramzey Kill Awarded against Ghengus flying a Bf 109F-4   15 points
WldThing Kill Awarded against BigMax flying a Bf 109F-4   15 points
JSky Kill Awarded against Vspeed flying a Ju 88A-4   20 points
AvidMC Kill Awarded against Vspeed flying a Ju 88A-4   20 points
AvidMC Kill Awarded against Vspeed flying a Ju 88A-4   20 points
v335 Kill Awarded against Innomin8 flying a Ju 88A-4   20 points
DJ111 Kill Awarded against JerkyBoy flying a Bf 109F-4   15 points
spiegel Kill Awarded against Innomin8 flying a Ju 88A-4   20 points
WldThing Kill Awarded against Wespe flying a Bf 109F-4   15 points

Ground targets destroyed by Axis:

There were only 3 targets destroyed by the JU88's who mananged to get through the fierce spitfire cover. tically2 was able to take out a fuel tank and Innomin8 was able to take out 2 field guns. I didn't count these three objects in the score because they wouldn't have made a difference and I don't know what they're worth anyway. :)

Soo, what we have here is a huge allied victory.

Axis-75
Allies-205

I had a good time floating around in the CM eye watching the action. I took a couple of screenshots. Here's wldthing and nifty pulverizing a poor luftwaffe pilot...

But unfortunately for the Luftwaffe most sorties ended with a wrecked airframe spinning into the lush British countryside...

I would have been there if I knew it was on. Said Air Races last I heard.

Quote from daddog: "Next Wednesday July 31st we will have another race Slow, But Steady (Deadly), SBD-5. Hosting CM will be Nefarious."

First clue I had this was on tonight was reading the score :(

Nice screenshots.

The whole thing was a hell of a lot of fun.  Too bad our fighter cover got slaughtered :P

Just to bad this event wasn't advertised. :(
I thought it was supposed to be the race thing, so I didn't show.

daddog thought we should run more snapshots instead of races so told us to run one.  He left early to get to the Convention, and forgot to update the SEA news to reflect the change.  We apologize for everyone that missed it due to thinking it was a race (which makes daddog right in fact that we should run more snapshots than races!)  We'll definitely run this particular snapshot again another time.
