With this new patch, I've CTD'd about 5 times...most while in Tower or hangar (once, configuring a Me 262...no no no!).

No bombers neear.

Went from annoying to aggravating now.  But, plenty of beer to keep nerves at bay, but re-enforcements may be needed

Maybe an hour and a half flying last night, no CTD's, no freezes.

Last evening, I suffered 2 CDTs and 3 freezes.

CDTs occurred once while in the tower, once when manning a CV gun turret.

When freezes occurred, there were bomber formations involved, both friendly and enemy. My first one, I was in an M16 when a friendly Buff formation got whacked on takeoff. I had one kill in the bank. The second happened while attacking a formation of Ju 88s. I exploded all three, then locked up. My last freeze happened when attacking two formations of low-level B-17s. I lost 5 kills on this one. More than 3 weeks now, still no solution for the freeze bug. Apparently, there are other instability factors beyond those addressed by patch 3. I’ll bet that I’ve lost 75+ kills and acquired 20+ deaths due to these problems. Discos, however, have been few a far between for me.

After many CTD's in patch 2, I downloaded the full install and started over.  No more CTD's, AT ALL!  BUT.......... after installing patch 3, I crash EVERY time from the login screen.  No matter whether I click on ONLINE or OFFLINE, as soon as it tries to start the game itself, CTD occurs.  Oh, and this even happens when viewing film.  As soon as it tries to enter the "game" to replay the actual film, CTD.  I tried reinstall of 1.10 2 and re-do of patch 3, but still same prob.   I can't even play in any form at this point... still investigating possible causes.

Got a full freeze last night in the MA (Baltic Terrain)  Was flying a Spitfire V north of A41.  Saw a red dot on DAR NE of me so went that way.  got in icon range as a B-26.  No probs yet.  Two friendlies get there first and layeth the smack down on him.  I'm about 4.0k out.  I see the lead B-26 go down while looking thorugh the left forward view (7 on the numpad), and all of a sudden, one of the drones starts stuttering.  A second later, the freeze occurs with the friendlies and B-26 about 3.6k from me.  Only freeze/CTD I've had since Patch 3.

Had lock ups when trying new Nvidia drivers 29.42.  Havent had one since I went back to my old drivers.

I installed DX 8.1b.. still same problem.  Reinstalled the full install of 1.10.2, then let autoupdater redownload patch 3.  This worked, as game runs fine now.  Possibly corrupt file in patch 3 from my first download, ... dunno, but it works now.

While attacking a B-17 formation right on the deck, my FE froze for about 5 seconds. When it unfroze, I was too close to the water to recover and augered. That bites. Worse, some buff dweeb got the proxy (I hate proximity kills).

This happened again later, but I was high enough to avoid another crash.

CTD's mostly happen around bombers?  Only thing that happens to me around bombers is that I get a dramatic loss of frame rates if they start firing at me, fps drops from 85 to around 20fps.  Only happens when the bombers start firing though, be it a flight or single plane.

Day two, prolly 2 1/2 hours total time so far.

No CTD's no freezes..

Fingers still crossed, be putting some time in this weekend.

I did a full format of my HD then reinstalled windows etc. to include DX8.1b. I also got the latest drivers for sound and vid card. I then did a fresh download of AH, the version with the #3 patch. Verdict. CTD's are still there. They are not as bad but they still happen. Buffs have no impact on them.

Close but no cigar here.
