Ok well, for starters the writeup said both sides have bar dar. I think that is fair since the Mossie was a nightfighter, and there were various ways the RAF could tell there were night fighters in certain areas, radar warning recievers, AI radar, radio, ect ect.
190s and 109s had no radar. They did have GCI, so obviously they need to get some info on dar. Fair enough. 110s had radar, fair enough.
Tonight though, the RAF had no radar at all. Zero. So we fly around the not so dark Germany being run down by LW day fighters who number as many as the attacking force.
50/50 ratio? no, not when one side is blind. This wasnt a day raid with P-51 escorts.
It was one sided and off balance, with almost all the RAF being downed. No surprise.
Should have been 70/30 with dar for both sides and most of the LW in 110s. Then it would have been challenging.
Disappointed.
