Trip to Japan
« on: August 09, 2002, 12:55:12 PM »
Hey guys, i posted some time ago. in another area in the forum. But anyways. I will be coming to Kakegawa, Japan on the 22 of August. I will be flying in to Nagoya Airfield. I will be leaving the 31st of August from Tokyo. The flight doesnt leave Tokyo until 4pm so i was going to perhaps grab the train friday evening from Kakegawa to Japan and spend the night in Tokyo and the next day until my flight leaves. As i will be at work there, i wont have much time during the week, but perhaps the weekends will be clear and of course the evening of the 30th and the 31st until 2pm. (or so.. I might get to the airport earlier).

Anyways I speak almost No japanese, I also am looking for a good map one with both english and Japanese words. I seem to be having a hard time finding a good one.

I heard there is a aviation museum in or near kakegawa. I will definatly check it out as well as any on the way or near Tokyo.

MOTJD,
Email me at wsnpr@yahoo.com.
My mom speaks Japanese and English quite well. She is living in Japan at the moment (Oita, Kyushu). She can give you some tips and help guide you around Japan. I know my sister and I sure needed her to interpret for us (called her and handed the phone to the information person- whew!) I'll see if it is okay to give you her phone number. Are you planning to use Japan Rail? Much cheaper if you purchase the voucher in the States.
