Author Topic: Can we have Proper ammo load out for the LVTA4 and the M8 (Read 240 times)

I posted a while ago abot the LVTA4 not having any HEAT rounds or smoke shels(WP.. white phosphurs) ammo, I thought now might be a good time to bring it up agin. The curent HE shles on the LVTA4 are quiet usless aganst tanks, at least in my experance. The LVT A4 carried HEAT rounds for use aganst armored or hardened targets this would make the LVTA4 a little more usefull in beach assault, I dont think it would be to hard to do and It would be very nice to have.

The WP rounds would be nice to have as well to help cover beach landings much the smae way panzers lay smoke curentaly, again I cant imagine this would be to hard to add.

The M8 had a smoke despensing capacity as well.

The M8 and the LVTa4 both could fire a canister round I am not to shure how usefull this would be in general or how it would be modeled, but it would be fun to cover a spawn point on an airbase with:) or hose troops at the map room:)

Did the osti actually carry 1000 rnds of 37mm? Thems big shells, not like a 22 cal or something hehe

Why would anyone use WP as smoke cover for their troops?

Certainly they would not fire that at their own troops, but to at as a screan it would be usefull to block the los of the enemy, it could be used as the smoke rounds on the tank's are.
