I had a good time too.  I kept launching as a fighter bomber but the Jerries were VERY aggressive so I had to jettison ordnance and fight.  Which was fun!  :)

I was getting frustrated in the MA and headed over to the CA.  It was a blast!!  I thought AH kicked bellybutton before but this is just amazing.  Wierd thing, nits being in the bucket I found tedious, Allies in the bucket I found fun.

No, I hope there are bigger numbers for the LW, as it was in the real war  :)

was it always 3 to 1 (total arena ratio last night) and 5 to 1 (usually how things were going last night)?  That's what SOB was referring to.  I felt bad for most of the Axis, as Fester and Deja were getting most of the kills.  The other 3 to 10 on me never had a chance to get me.   ;)

"3 to 1 (total arena ratio last night) and 5 to 1"

This is the problem with two-sided arenas.  It's very tempting to log on and decide to be the banger, instead of the bangee.  Others want to fly with their buddies/squad, or favor a particular plane.  Not sure what the answer is, but the success of the CA (IMO) will depend on some solution.

Weird, it's been pretty even when I've been in there.

We need to get that side switch delay time limit removed.

Also if one side has a lot of numbers, they should take the initiative.  Launch heavy, launch some risky missions.  This usually makes it more fun for the shorthanded side.

I logged on and joined the side with the RAF planes, as it was 2 to 1 in favur of the LW. For the short time I was in there, hour and a half?, I had a definate blast. I went 3 deaths for two kills and an assist. I wish the Boston Red Sox could bat that average    :)

But no problems so far. I love the lack of dar, coordinating with friendlies to find the enemy and I really like the low icon display range of 3k.
It's tough for the RAF as they do not have a very good higher alt plane and the LW planes do not have long legs. This is a good setup. I'll enjoy flying for either side, as the numebrs dictate when I log on.
The numbers issue as seen so well in AW and WB's could be a problem. No idea what the answer is, join one side with no ability to switch for the tour? A 72 hour switch period? I guess that might be a partial answer but it might drive folks back to the MA if thier side is not 'winning.'  Will have to 'wait-see'

However,  I'll be in there more than the MA, that is for sure!

i found that even when the numbers were skewed, the sense of gangbanging wasnt as prevalent as in the main arena

without in flight dar to vector you to the lone enemy waiting to get pounced on by 10 other guys, you can evade detection against large numbers much better

imo

Did the spit suddenly start to suck at high alt while I wasnt looking?

Going by the charts, at 25k and up the only planes with any significant advantage are the g10 and d9. And even then all they have is level speed (and dive i suppose).

The HA needs one more tweak...

FRIENDLY ICONS ONLY :-)

I tried this and MAN it rocks. Adds to the immersiveness immensely. I did try NO icons, but then calling 6's was harder so I went fer friendly icons.

Regurge your spit problem could be due to the 1x fuel multiplier (ie spit still heavy at alt).
