Ah, jeez.  Sorry, people, but I won't be able to make it.  Just realized I can't do it.  Being a Dad to a four month old has its duties.  And having a 3rd shift job really compounds the whole thing(get off work at 8am on Saturday).

Well, have a beer for me, and if they have any VVS aircraft, don't tell me.  Please don't tell me

Ooops rip... didn't mean to make light of your past.  whenever those things used to happen to me, way back when, I considered it a fairly bad day.

Kirkland reporting in. Sounds like good times, but moving soon to Totem Lake. Just too much to do.

Maybe next year. Have a good one!

Changed plans, we are leaving Friday afternoon and staying at the Offut Lake Resort (grab some fishin' time for  the wifey, she's not hot on A/C but loves to fish)

It's 5 miles from airport, all welcome to BBQ at the site on Sat. night!

Geez! There is a bunch of us up here :-)

Leonid, sorry dude, I was lookin' forward to seeing ya! Hey there is always Sunday, don't you get a day of rest?

I e-mailed everyone I got an e-mail from, the 327th desided to change servers this week, I lost alot of e-mail, and got some from last December! It still hosed

Directions:

Coming from the south:
northbound on I-5, take exit 101 (Air Industrial)also sezx Olympia Airport. (BTW I live by exit 88 so wave when ya come by)
Take a right (east) follow Air Industrial thru a few lights, you will see the Airfield on your right (watch out for low flying warbirds)(I was buzzed by a Zeke today!)
You will come to a light (Old Highway 99) go right (south) about 1/2 way down the runway you will see a Seagull (F4U) painted on the building, your there!

From The north:

Come down I-5 take exit 101 (Air Industial/ Oly airport) go left, get in right hand lane (left goes back north on freeway) follow the above directions.

Milnko, Hog wash, I don't do big cities either, got 3 chickens and Dish TV cause there ain't no cable, heck 28.8 cause our phone lines are so crappy! Come on up! We are 1/2 way between Seattle and Portland.

On Saturday I'll be just wandering around aimlessly, Meet outside the gift shop (you walk thru it to get to the hanger) about noonish. I'll have my museum hat on, and a nerd thecino PC shirt on (Dilbert), and my "Mr.ED" name tag. The place ain't that big.

I wont be at the hanger dance (8pm-11pm), not my cup O'tea.

On sunday, I'll have on coveralls, becuase I'll be doing maintaince on any birds tyhat need oil changes or cleaning up. I'll still be yaking to any simmers that come along.

Party at Ripsnort's!!
(woman will kill us)

Mr.ED

Oh yeah, I don't read this board everyday, so I'll be checking it every few days.

No AH at the hanger, the phone lines are all spoken for, boss lady said... next year!

MrEd said:" Meet outside the gift shop (you walk thru it to get to the hanger) about noonish."

And I mentioned above to meet at the Beer Garden, so...

Let's decide on one central location to meet.

Bongo, will be good to see you again!

Updated Post:

There is a beer garden, After you go through the gift shop and hanger to the tarmac, there will be a canopy (tent) and beer!

For those of you flying in, the tower will ask you when you approch. if you are warbird or GA. Tellem GA, unless you are in a warbird, and they will direct you to the other side of the airport, ask them to buzz the museum and we will drive around and pick you up.

I live in Olympia too and am glad someone cross posted this to AGW. I was planning to go to the Fly In, but I was not aware that I would be amoung flight sim friends. I will be wearing a WarBirds Con Cap (Black w/Red bill) from the Dallas Con and a 100th Bomb Group Gray T-shirt (Black Aussie Duster if it is raining). See you there.

Hope y'all can make it to The McChord AFB Airshow and Open House June 24th and 25th.  There will be a suprise static display involving the most famous of WW2 German Jet Fighters.  Classic Fighters Ind. is bringing their recently restored Me 262.  This is your last chance to see it in the Northwest before its flown on a C-17 to Pensacola for permanent display.

Holy guacamole! I am putting together a Fly In at the McChord Air show as well.  AKDejaVu has also agreed to attend.  Most of the guys that have responded to me are WW1 simmers (Red Baron, Flying Circus) but we have some AH flyers as well.  I have a discussion set up for this specific event and other possibles at http://fly.to/nwflyin  please go there and make yourselves known.

Gunner,

Keep that slicker at home, looks like 60s-70s, high ceiling clear, dry, and yes, just maybe sunny!
