Yeah, see what you mean.  I must admit, this type of mission - flying straight to a target - seems to be a trait of AH...  :)  I always favoured a more roundabout route, taking longer to arrive at a target - and making the other side work a bit more to find us!  :D

I think your right flossy, that does seem to be a trait in AH flying straight to target. A couple of the Ss you have to because of time considerations, but many you don't. Two Ss a long time ago I actually was the frame C.O. Both times I took the long route hoping to strike the target without harassment, then rtb with the focus on dealing with the attackers. Alas both times I was caught prior to the target and pretty much wiped out. Hence I prefer to write them than lead them. ;)  No reason you can't take a round the barn approach to a target.

I have heard of players suggesting multiple targets, but the inherent problem with this is the possibility of players not having any action due to the fact that the target they attacked was not or did not have a CAP. Many ways this can happen, but one simple example is if there are two targets, two attack groups, and two defending groups. Quite often one attack group will reach a target prior to the second attack group. If that happens more often than not both CAP groups converge on the first attack group, slaughters it and the second attack group drops and scoots home without firing a shot. I have seen this happen many times with different variants of this set of circumstances. Players not having any action will "kill" a Snapshot (or any event for that matter) quicker than any other misfortune. Even over a poor connect.

I did change the write up, added P-40's for escorts and increased the percents for the Allies. Sorry for the slaughter the first frame.  I did not suggest P-47's the second frame, not sure who did. I thought I said P-40's, but maybe it was a typo. In any case we will do better next time. :) Thanks for all the feed back. We do listen to players.

Oops must have been me then.... I probably thought you said P-47s, and not being any kind of fighter pilot I was too dumb to know any difference - they are just numbers to me!  :D  My apologies, if this is the case...  :o

So thats what happened to my plane.  Friendly effin fire.  I''ll get you for that!  I thought it was odd that an a-20 turret was able to kill me so quickly.   :D
