A British "County" class but which of the "Kent", "London" or "Norfolk" sub classes. There is also the Australian "County" class of "Australia" and "Canberra" to be considered.

definately not a London class one... just take a look at the smokers and the bridge. Kent class featured 3 smokers, London class had only 2 of them, and not that square thingie ontop the bridge isle...

take a look

HMS London was built as a Devonshire type vessel, all 3 funnels

Between 1938 and 1941 London was reconstructed and resembled a larger Fiji Class afterwards.

I use that source for pics, but also have 14 books on WW2 warships, including Conways & Janes.

I have also spent 9 years wargaming WW2 actions and have 2 different models of HMS London.

Forgot, on that site you point too 'A certain jan'

London alone was given a completely new look during the war and came out looking much like a Fiji class light cruiser except for the 8 inch guns.

The picture above has the look of pre-war

'Devonshire', 'Shropshire' and 'Sussex' of the "London" class had 3 stacks. The 'London' ONLY recieved 2 stacks and a bridge structure that looked like the "Fiji" class. (3-1939 to 1-1941 re-construction)

It is also, IMO, a pre-war photo because of the paint job.

Oops, CBFASI, was doing some research while you were posting.
