Soldier of Fortune 2 'Double Helix'

Typical 3d shooter. Using a "quake" type graphics engine. So it looks fairly good.

BUT! The gore is really intense, blow a enemy's head off and watch the blood spurt from the stump. Blow a leg off and see the boney tattered limb, same with an arm or shoulder.

The game is rated 'MATURE' with a warning on the box, included with a subsection which simply states Blood and Gore - Violence.

Not for the kiddies. Way too much graphic detail.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no prude, and abhor censorship in any form, but one hasta wonder at the morals of a Company that would create such imagery for distribution to kids.

Thier only saving grace in my opinion is the Parental Password Violence lockout. Which if I was gonna let my kids play this game I would definately use.

Although I liked WW2 Fighters' feature of blood on the inside of the cockpit canopy when the pilot got wounded, after playing SoF2, I can better understand HTC's position in not adding similar to AH.

Still I'd like AH to add spray on the front canopy after an oil line hit tho :D

Great game, both single and multi-player.

Umm, the "M" rating means it isn't for distribution to kids.  That's like questioning the "morals" of a movie studio that makes a rated "R" movie.

Uhh not up to today's standars, IMO... SoF 2 was a huge disappointment for me.

Nothing new, the "stealth" does absolutely nothing, and the graphics are terrible. America's Army's graphics are much, much better.

It has clipping problems, the AI is appalling... well, I'd better stop.

Sorry, but in my opinion, it's not worth more than 1 hour play (and I had to actually play it to the end).
