If i switch from AH to the internet and then return back to AH the colours go weird, and objects go see through, does anyone have a clue why?

What are you system specifications? Processor, memory video card and Operating system.

40 gig hd
1.something ghz
pentium 4 processor
nvidia 3 video card
windows xp

Berra you have the age-old corrupt graphics problem.

In windows XP it usually requires just to go to the video settings and switch 'disable palettized textures' on.
