Alright, my skins aren't working in the game. I read the posts about the .htx, but they still aren't working-I will give a step by step guide about what I am doing. If you see what I am doing wrong, tell me.
1. I select the p51 and do "save skin" while playing ah2.
2.I go to the skins folder and create "p51d1"
3.I go to the p51d folder and copy P51DSID (there is no extension of .bmp...is that normal? when i go to properties it just says "image file"...not P51DSID.bmp, just P51DSID.)and paste it in the "p51d1" folder.
4. I do a little editing of the P51DSID in the p51d1 and write "test" all over it in black lettering.
5. I make a copy of the P51DSID i edited and put it in a temp subdirectory. I then name it P51DSID.htx (I want to note that there is absoutely no change in the file when I write .htx..at least I do not think..still classified under image file..)
6.i take P51DSID.htx and put it in the p51d1 folder.
7. I start up ah2 and select "p51d1." there is no change in the plane's appearance.
What am I doing wrong?
One more thing: the file p51d1 after this has only 2 files..P51D1 and P51D1.htx
