Was a great time last night. Being new to AH, (coming over with the mass exodus from AW) I really need to get some fights under my belt. Flyin for a half hour or so in the MA to get to the next fight just wasn't cuttin it.
I started in this kind of arena in AW--we called it FT (Fighter Town). I thought it was a far better kind of environment for the new pilot to learn. Here the fields are closer so the alt is fairly constant. There's no land grab--its just ACM. You get more "fights per hour" in there. New pilots need this. Ya need to learn what you can do--and what you can't, and be be able to remember what that was and how you did it. Its a lot easier to do this if its happening every five minutes than twice an hour. Learning's best done thru repetition.
I'm gonna try and hang out there as much as I can. That's how I learned to be a pretty fair pilot in AW. I'm just gonna take that same attitude here. Dyin's part of the learnin process! Well so far I have that much down cold! Its irritating knowin what I need to do in my head and not gettin the plane to do it like I could before tho, hehe. That'll come with time and practice.
<S> all for some great fights.
