WWII helicopters might be interesting, but with so many more historically important WWII vehicles yet to be modeled, I would think helicopters are last priority for Aces High, particularly because they presumably would require such a disproportionate amount of developmental resources.

Before whirlies, would much rather see Pipers and Stinsons and Fiesler Storchs, flying boats, and continued addition of the many other air-sea-land vehicles that contributed the most to that era.

I think it would be great. I have always been a sort of Helo freak. They are very different and would add as much to gameplay as another gv I would think. Search and rescue/ resupply or artillery spotting would be the use I would see for it.

Probally asking for too much to request a shoulder firing stinger missle system for a downed pilot.

Helo's

"1) Could the AH engine sucessfuly model a helicopter's FM with all the skill required to fly one of these birds? "

I've yet to see any Helicopter sim to  date with a decent model of a helicopter FM other then full blown simulators for pilot training.

And if they did I doubt anyone would bother to take the time to fly them, due to the frustration in just being able to maintain a hover. And think that HT would be best to keep the FM at a more medium level of difficulty so as to keep it fun.

Yes It would be great to see helicopters and be able to rescue downed buddies etc.  But there are alot of other improvements I'd rather see first.

The German helicopters were widely used in the Kriegsmarine ships, for recon duties also. So while Allies might have used them for rescue duties only German copters were used for combat duties as well.
