Voice problem

When I'm in the tower, my voice transmissions sound fine. As soon as I take off in any aircraft, my voice transmissions are unreadable.

AMD Athlon 1.4GHz XP

Windows ME

Do your transmissions sound bad both when you transmit on the Room/Range Radio (key F12) and the Channel Radio (key T)?

Btw: "Location Canada" eh? -Well THATS narrowing it down... and... what.. oh, my location says.... um......... nevermind...;)

A known problem with AH voice that seems to be popping up with a lot of Sound Blaster cards it seems ( I have this problem) is that AH seems to turn Mic Boost off from time to time.  Try opening up the volume control panel and clicking mic boost off then on again.  Solved the problem temporarily with me, yes it's a pain but it might work. :)

Also are you useing speakers or headphones as you could be getting some feedback if using speakers whilst flying which you wouldn't in the quiet of the tower.

You may have done this already but:

.radio 5 mister fork

will tune radio to you so that you can talk to yourself.

I had similar problem, upgraded my soundcard drivers and the surround mixer (I have a soundblaster Live card),

I now have the Pretty blue surround mixer (surmix2) not the black and yellow one (surmix)

Only problem I get now is very occationally my Mic  boost doubles instead! so I'm never quiet :D

Blank - yep, tried that...tuning to myself.

I think the problem is the latest patch.  A lot of guys using SBLive have had a wide range of issues, especially if you are using Mitsu's custom sounds.

Blank - where did you get the new mixer and soundblaster drivers?
