More Early Pacific action this week. This takes a small section of the Battle of Midway for the recreation. VT-8 from the
USS Hornet attacked the Japanese carrier group (along with VT-3, and VT-6) and was annihilated by the Japanese fighter cover. In their destruction, the fighter cover was all brought low, which allowed VB-6, VS-6 and VB-3 to land hits on the
Akagi,
Kaga, and
Soryu.
In our Snapshot, the TBFs of of VT-8 will make a run on part of the Japanese fleet and will be escorted by the
Hornet's Wildcats of VF-8.
