Why a new thread? Because it needs one

AH's engine sound system could use some improvement; currently even AW2 (which was released in 1996) had a more detailed system for engine sounds.
What most newer games do is use several sound samples for different RPM ranges in addition to the "on" and "off" sounds. AW2, for example, had an "idle" sound, a "midrange" sound and a "high range" sound. Newer games, like CFS, have even more than that. AH could benefit greatly from having such a system.
